PhD in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona. Specialist in Pathology from the Department of Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, USA, and has a Master in Sport Traumatology from the University of Barcelona. Assistant Physician at the Department of Histology and Pathology at the “Hospital Clínico de Barcelona”. President of the García Cugat Foundation for biomedical research. Since 2007 she is the Director of the Department of Regenerative Medicine at the “Hospital Quirón Barcelona” and the anti-aging medicine center WGB Regeneration. Started studying Stem Cells in 2010 with the group of Dr. Ramón Cugat.

Specialist in research in biological treatments for tissue regeneration. One of the pioneers in 2004 in the use of growth factors to rejuvenate the tissues or to repair skin lesions. Dr. Montserrat Garcia Balletbó has more than 35 years of experience as a physician and a scientist. She runs her own laboratory which conducts research on growth factors, stem cells and skeletal muscle tissue regeneration. Specialist in the Cabinet of Orthopedic Surgery Dr. Ramon Cugat, she has participated in multiples international meetings lecturing in the area of regenerative medicine, and muscular skeletal system. Published numerous scientific articles in many international peer-reviewed journals, and chapters books most of them in the area of regenerative medicine, and growth factors. Member of international professional associations “L'Academia de Ciencies Medique de Catalunya I de Balears”, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sport Medicine (ISAKOS). Co-Founder of the “Fundación García Cugat para la Investigación y Biomedicina”. Dr. Montserrat Garcia Balletbó is an active scientist and innovator doing translation medical research in the field of regenerative medicine.
