Luiz Felipe Carvalho, MD

MD from Catholic University of Pelotas (UCPEL), worked as family doctor for two years, studied the Medical Residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Santa Casa de Misericordia Hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Specialize his training in the treatment of Spine disorders, obtained the title of specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology by the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT). Ten years of experience in Spine Surgery, with special attention to spinal deformity, scoliosis and spinal disorders. He is a long-term Fellowship in AOSpine Latin America in Curitiba, Brazil. Orthopedic Surgeon, co-partner of Clínica Ortopedia Carvalho Moinhos de Vento and Pronto Socorro Traumazul of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Focused on non-surgical treatments for musculoskeletal injuries, osteoarthritis and cartilage with the latest Technologies or Regenerative Medicine. His goals are to focus in prevent sport injuries in athletes and relief muscle skeletal pain using regenerative medicine. Dr. Luiz Felipe Carvalho, proudly offers to his patients’ non-surgical treatments, guided by ultrasonography, for acute sports injuries and also chronic-degenerative, from arthritis / arthrosis / joint wear to the entire musculoskeletal apparatus.

 

Dr. Luiz Felipe Carvalho has participated in multiples international meetings lecturing in the area of muscle skeletal system. He has published scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and chapters books orthopedic procedures and surgical treatment. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Spine (SBC), a member and Co-partner of the AOSpine Latin America, a member of the Orthopedic Department of Santa Casa de Misericordia Hospital, and Mae de Deus Hospital. Member of the Brazilian Society of Interventional Physicians in Pain (SOBRAMID). Certify member of the American Board for Regenerative Medicine (AARM), and the Latin American ORTHOREGEN group.
